Soy-based powder is the most common commercial lecithin powder. A typical 9.6-gram, 2-tablespoon
serving of soy lecithin powder contains 67 calories, nearly 69 percent of which come from fat. Six of the
8 grams of fat in the powder are heart-healthy polyunsaturated fat. Soy lecithin contains no protein
or cholesterol and only a trace amount of carbohydrates. Every serving supplies 2,200 milligrams of
phosphatidylcholine, far more than the recommended daily intake for adult men and women.
