The pomegranate (Punica Granatum L.) is packed with healthy anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory agents with healthful benefits. The potent antioxidant activities of pomegranate are attributed to its phenolic compounds including punicalagin. Punicalagin is a water soluble ellagitannin with high bioavailability.
