Valeriana officinalis L.
 

Valeriana officinalis L. is a perennial, cold resistant, flowering, herbaceous plant in the family Fabaceae, with a height of up to 120 centimeters; The rhizome is thick and short, with a head like shape. The stem is hollow, and the leaves on the stem are ovate to broadly ovate. The umbrella shaped inflorescence grows at the top, and the corolla is light purple red or white. The filaments are flat, and the flowering and fruiting period is from July to September.
